About
As a freelancer, I love the opportunity to work on a wide range of writing jobs and meet new people along the way. My years as an employee in corporate advertising, marketing and public relations have armed me with the knowledge and experience to execute these projects successfully.
Most recently, I did marketing and PR for The Chicken Soup for the Soul series at HCI Books, a publisher in Deerfield Beach, Florida, for two years. I have also worked in the advertising department of a major department store chain in Boston and been a fashion buyer. With my bachelor’s degree in English from Boston College, I combine a marketing mindset with solid writing chops.
On top of that, I can tell you the secret to a perfectly cooked steak and give you tips for your next dinner party. I have always enjoyed cooking, and the more I learned, the more obsessed with food I became. I order to combine my dueling passions of writing and eating, I decided to launch my freelance writing business. Now I am able to rescue clients from the slippery slope of unpolished copy and save home cooks from the tragedy of fallen soufflés.
I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with my husband, Mike, and our fish, Gil. View my copywriting portfolio and my resume, check out my published food and travel articles or read my blog, A Mingling of Tastes.
